A trillion-dollar industry spent twenty years engineering your reflexes. Every scroll, every notification, every autoplay. Forge Focus reverses the friction. Distraction becomes the hard choice. You pick the sites, the apps that pull you under. You set the schedule, the Pomodoro. Then Forge Mode locks it all, make every restriction unbreakable until you earn your way out. A real challenge, provable with Strava. Instant gratification is over. The algorithm doesn't get to decide anymore.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built Forge Focus for myself first.
I was full of ambition but my brain betrayed me, constantly trying to escape the difficulty of my goals with streaming, with mind-numbing games, with anxiogenic news.
I tried several blockers, but many of them were too easy to bypass or poorly designed.
So I built my own.
Forge Focus runs at the kernel level. It doesn't suggest you stay focused, it enforces it.
You can block distractions entirely, or add friction to slow yourself down before giving in.
Because it's not just about blocking, it's about becoming aware of your impulse and stopping the autopilot that chases the easy reward. It's also about what you put in front of yourself. So I added a curated space with inspiring resources, the kind of content that makes you want to build, write, and think rather than scroll.
Forge Focus is for the student who needs to pass. The writer who needs to think. The founder who needs to ship. Anyone trying to escape easy rewards and take back control from algorithms that were designed to own their attention.
It's free to download, Windows only for now.
I'd love to hear what you think.
