I saw some people complain about the notch (I like it but tastes differ), so I made a little utility that makes the menu bar black so the Notch fades away in the background. The app takes your wallpaper and modifies it to add a black bar at the top.

Would it be possible to make the menu bar smaller now, so it will end up being in-line with the notch? (would make sense now that it's "hidden")

Thanks for the app, but sorry to say I can't get it to work. I don't know why but it always says "Cannot read the provided wallpaper file as image. Check if the path is correct and if it is a valid image file." Any clue?
Saw a comment last night on reddit, and had most of the code already done from another project so I spent a few hours to make a small app to hide the Notch for the people that don't like the extra pixels on their new MacBooks!
Forehead also allows you to round all the corners of your MacBook, similar to the top corners on the new MacBook Pro.
Updates coming later include adding a Notch to older Macs (because why not).
Let me know if you run into anything, as I'm sure there's some bugs left. I'll be uploading the source code later today as well after I've cleaned it up. That way you can build it yourself with Xcode.

This does not work in Monterey 12.0.1. It reverts back to the same wallpaper whatever I choose, it stops reacting to any input, reload wallpaper doesn't work. Want my money back, but can only contact the author on twitter, which I don't use. Waste of money.
@henrik_dahl Hi! I just refunded your purchase and I'll be adding my email to my product pages as well. Can you send me an email at jordi@goodsnooze.com so I can try to figure out what's going wrong? Thanks, Jordi
