FontReport has been a bit of a side-project that I'm hoping will be useful for others. The backstory is I kept seeing businesses getting hit with legal letters over font licensing violations (usually honest mistakes like old build tools bundling fonts that weren't actually used, or WordPress themes including commercial fonts without proper web licenses). This made me paranoid about all the sites I've worked on over the years. I tried to find a tool to audit websites for this stuff but everything out there is focused on design (identifying fonts from images, etc) rather than technical compliance. So I figured FontReport. The core functionality crawls a website (up to 250 pages for now), parses all the CSS and JavaScript files for font references, extracts metadata from font files to get copyright/licensing info, then categorises everything by provider (Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, self-hosted, System Fonts, etc.) - and flags anything that might need license verification. It has job queue system so jobs get queued when the hosting service is too busy, so it should handle traffic spikes pretty well. I'm keen to hear what people think... whether it's of use, and if the pricing tiers I've come up with seem about right? Kim :)
