A free map of drinking water, fill-up taps, toilets, showers, laundry, campervan dump stations and marina pump-outs. 650,000+ places in Europe, the US and Canada, mostly from OpenStreetMap. See what's closest or pick a place on the map, then follow the compass or use navigation. No account needed to browse, and every filter is free. Add missing places and details or confirm a tap still works.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Rasmus, a solo developer from Turku, Finland.
I used to live in a van, and the apps I had mostly showed places to sleep. What I needed most days was somewhere to fill and empty water, use a toilet or take a shower, and I couldn't find an app made just for that. So I built one myself, alongside my full-time job, keeping costs as low as I could.
Fontavio puts drinking water, fill-up taps, toilets, showers, self-service laundry, dump stations and marina pump-outs on one map, across Europe, the US and Canada, 50 countries in total. Users can see what's closest or pick a place on the map, then follow the compass or use navigation.
It's for anyone on the move: campervan and boat people, cyclists and runners who need a fountain on the way, hikers, and travellers who need a refill, a shower, or a toilet.
A few things I cared about:
- Free to browse with no account, and every filter is free.
- Each place can have details, photos, and reviews to tell if it's what the user wants before going there.
- Wheelchair access and changing tables are tagged, and places can carry accessibility details.
- Water can be marked as drinkable or not. A place shows if no one has confirmed it in a while.
- User location is never stored on the server.
The data is mostly OpenStreetMap, improved by the app users. Users can add a missing place, fix a detail, or confirm in one tap that a place still works.
It's free with ads. Pro (€/$ 1.99/month or €/$ 9.99/year, 7-day free trial) removes ads and adds offline maps, a route planner, and private notes.
It's live on Google Play and the App Store as of today.
I'd like to hear:
- Which features are missing?
- Any water service category that should be in the app and isn't?
- Which countries would you find this useful in, so I know where to add next?
- Would you use it, and for what: just finding drinking water, the nearest toilet, or while running, cycling or travelling?
