FollowNet is a VPN for iPhone, iPad, and Chrome. • Smart Connect — tries WireGuard, then IKEv2 or AmneziaWG if the network blocks VPN • Free plan with a daily data limit (no credit card) • Auto-connect, custom DNS presets, built-in speed test • Chrome extension for desktop browsing • Premium removes limits and unlocks all server locations Built with native iOS Network Extension APIs — not a repackaged web wrapper. We are early and actively improving reliability. Feedback welcome.

We built FollowNet for a simple case: on some networks, a single VPN protocol is not enough.
On iOS, you tap Connect once. Smart Connect tries WireGuard first, then falls back to IKEv2 or AmneziaWG if the network blocks or throttles VPN traffic. No manual protocol switching.
The same account works in the iOS app and the Chrome extension. Free includes a daily data limit and core servers — no credit card. Premium removes the limit and unlocks all locations via App Store.
A few things we are not claiming: we are not “the fastest VPN on earth,” and we would rather be clear about limits than oversell privacy.
If you try it, we would genuinely appreciate feedback on:
1) connection reliability on your network
2) whether Smart Connect is useful in practice
3) what you would expect from the iOS + Chrome combo
Happy to answer technical questions in the thread.

Curious how the free daily limit works in practice, does it reset on a rolling timer or at a fixed time each day, and is there any indication of how much data is left while you're using it?

@nerimanyiap Hey! Quick clarification — it’s a weekly free cap, not daily (my bad if the launch post sounded like daily):
Anonymous (no account): 512 MB / week
Free (signed in): 2 GB / week
Premium: unlimited
It resets every Monday 00:00 UTC (fixed calendar week, not a rolling timer). Usage is counted server-side from real VPN traffic, and in the app you can see used / limit and how much is left. If you hit the cap, the VPN disconnects until the next reset (or Premium).
