What real task does your product handle with GPT-6 Astra?

I am a developer and a film enthusiast, but I had never worked on video decoding or built a video player before FolioLume. When existing players could not meet my needs on Apple Vision Pro, I decided to build the one I wanted.
I used GPT-6 Astra through Codex to help develop FolioLume and work through this unfamiliar technical domain. Its role was in building the product. Astra made it possible for me to take on a project beyond my previous experience and expand the ambition beyond playback: a giant cinema screen, Blu-ray menus, immersive video, real-time subtitle translation, and AI conversations about the plot.
Translation while watching and discussing a film's story were features I had always wanted but could not find in the players I used. AI helped me move from wishing they existed to building them. FolioLume is now available to try through TestFlight.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of FolioLume — A Player for a New Era.
I want watching your own films on Apple Vision Pro to feel like a cinema experience, with the details film lovers care about: a giant screen, interactive Blu-ray menus, chapters, audio tracks, and subtitles. Immersive video, AI real-time subtitles, and AI plot discussions bring new ways to enjoy and explore a film.
We're looking for early feedback on viewing comfort, subtitle timing, AI conversations, Blu-ray menus, AIVU streaming, and video compatibility. AI features in this version require your own OpenAI API key; provider usage charges may apply. FolioLume does not include a commercial movie catalog.
What would make this your go-to player on Vision Pro? I'd love to hear which formats and viewing experiences matter most to you.
