But when the time comes to distribute them as native desktop or mobile apps, we hit a massive wall. Setting up Electron or Tauri, managing certificates, configuring CI/CD pipelines, and tweaking native UI behaviors (like macOS traffic lights or vibrancy effects) can take days or even weeks of frustrating work. I wanted to create a "magic button" for this. Foldaa was born out of the frustration of repeating that process. I wanted a tool where anyone could just paste their web URL and instantly get a polished, production-ready, native-feeling app. Initially, Foldaa started as a simple PWA wrapper just to get web apps running outside the browser quickly. But as I kept working on it, I realized that makers don't just want a "wrapped website"—they want their apps to feel truly native. That realization changed everything. I integrated an advanced cloud-build system (using Tauri under the hood) that allows users to visually configure native behaviors right from our dashboard. Now, without writing any native code, you can enable frameless windows, apply transparent background blur (macOS vibrancy), customize corner radius, and generate your DMG or iOS builds automatically in the cloud. It evolved from a simple wrapper into a complete Web-to-Native distribution infrastructure.
