Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Sumit, and I made FocusLens.
I'd finish a long day at my Mac feeling busy, but I couldn't say how much of it was real work. Screen Time tells you hours. It doesn't tell you how often you got pulled out of focus, or what pulled you out.
What FocusLens does:
🎯 Daily focus score (0–100) built from four things: deep work time, context switches, distraction share and your longest focus streak.
🔀 Context-switch cost. Each jump out of focus can take around 23 minutes to recover from. FocusLens counts those jumps and shows which apps cause the most.
📊 Analytics and timeline. Heatmaps, trends and a full log of every day, all hoverable.
✅ Goals. "4h of deep work" or "under 30 min of social": progress updates live from your real usage, with alerts.
💡 Coaching tips based on your own patterns.
📄 Reports as PDF or CSV, or sent to Notion.
🖥 Menu bar and widgets, so your score is a glance away.
Privacy: tracking happens on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no analytics on what you do. It records which app is in front and for how long. It doesn't read your screen or capture keystrokes, and it pauses when you step away.
Pricing: $19.99 once, no subscription, with a 3-day free trial. Needs macOS 14 or later.
I'd love to hear what you think, especially which number surprised you most on your first day. I'll be here answering all day.
