FMOS is a furniture-first workspace for designers and factories. Configure parametric modules, review 2D and 3D, validate for production, and export cutlists and sheet-plan PDFs.
👋 Hi Product Hunt!
I’m building FMOS because I kept coming back to one simple problem in the modular furniture industry:
**Design and manufacturing are still far too disconnected.**
A designer creates the furniture in one tool. Then someone has to manually interpret that design, work out the engineering, prepare the BOM and cutlist, figure out materials, and eventually get everything ready for production.
Every handoff creates an opportunity for something to go wrong — revisions, delays, material wastage, calculation errors, and endless back-and-forth between design and production teams.
And for small and mid-sized furniture manufacturers, the alternatives are often expensive, complicated enterprise systems that are difficult to adopt.
That’s what inspired me to build **FMOS — Furniture Manufacturing Operating System.**
The idea is simple:
**Design once → Engineer → Manufacture.**
FMOS brings furniture design, parametric configuration, 2D/3D visualization, manufacturing validation, cutlists, nesting, and commercial workflows into one connected platform.
We’re still building, and there is a lot more I want FMOS to become. But this launch is an important milestone for me — putting the product out there, getting real feedback, and learning from people who actually work in furniture design and manufacturing.
If you’re a furniture designer, interior designer, manufacturer, production engineer, or simply interested in how software can improve manufacturing workflows, I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
**What is the most painful part of your current design-to-production workflow?**
Thanks for checking out FMOS. ❤️
