FlowStack

Tasks. Focus. Routines. All in one simple app

Instead of juggling everything at once, FlowStack lets you stack your tasks sequentially and use timers to stay focused on each one. It’s like time-blocking, but more flexible. It keeps you accountable to do the tasks you set out to do.

What do you think? …

Sandra Rannanpää

I built this to solve my own issue with procrastinating and struggling to focus on one task at a time. I used to look at a list of things or habits I should do, but not actually do them. This app makes me actually do the things I set out to do.

It's a tool that I think most people can use for their own benefit, but everyone should use it in different ways for their own goals and struggles, as it's very customizable but still simple to setup.

I'm a very user-centered developer, and I aim to contantly improve the app based on feedback.

What a brilliantly designed approach to productivity! FlowStack truly reimagines focus by blending structure with flexibility—like a mindful game of task-tetris. I’m excited to see how it evolves. Are there any upcoming features or expansions planned for the product?

Sandra Rannanpää

@ransixi Thank you for your comments!

Yes, I'm currently working on and beta testing a feature where you can see a list of the the tasks you've completed today and how much time was spent on each task. I also plan on adding a possibility to assign a category/tag/project to a task, in order to become more aware of which type of tasks/work you spend your time on.

There are many possible improvements and features I've thought about (and also gotten suggestions of). For example dark mode, widgets, integrations with actual calendars and apps (Google calendar, Notion, Google Tasks). Also, a Mac version where you can see the current task somewhere visible on the screen, would be of interest.

I recently tried out FlowStack and wow, I love how it helps me dive straight into one task at a time in such simple way. That timer + task stacking combo made it so much easier to lock in and hit that flow state I’ve been chasing for a long time. Thank you Sandra for building something so intuitive and helpful. It’s made a real difference for me and i will continue using it ! :)

I'm always spending too much time on one task and can't seem to let it go until it's done... which can wreck havoc on my schedule if I don't learn to move on. So forcing myself to try and tackle the items I sent out to do on my list should keep me moving instead of being a perfectionist 😅

Wow, this hits home—I always end up staring at my to-do list and doing nothing. Love how FlowStack actually gets you moving! Is there a way to track progress over time?

Sandra Rannanpää

@cruise_chen There is! You can currently see how much focus time you've spent in the last 7 days. And there is an upcoming feature where you can dive deeper into which tasks took how long to complete, as well as track what category/project you've spent time on
