Pricing secondhand is a guessing game-lowball it and you leave money on the table, overprice it and it sits forever. Flipper Vintage reads 300M+ real SOLD sales (not asking prices) and learns how millions of items actually moved — the patterns between brand, type and condition — to tell you two things most tools can't: what your piece is really worth (by condition, from worn to deadstock), and how long it'll take to sell — from ⚡instant-flip to 💀sits-for-months. Real sold data across 8 markets

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Stephen,
My dad and I built Flipper Vintage because pricing secondhand clothes is a guessing game when it should be a business — you either lowball yourself or price so high it never sells.
So we did the hard part: built a dataset of 300M+ real sold listings from eBay, Depop, Poshmark and Mercari — the better part of a year just to gather and clean it — and trained an ML model on top. Now you type in a piece and get what it actually sold for — the median, the range, how fast it moves, and what it's worth in every condition from worn to deadstock. we took that game of guessing and hoping and reworked it using AI to spot relationships between catagories conditions and items and alot more and find out how long and how much money each item at each condition would sell for and take to sell. we got 90% + accuracy accross the board and stand behind our ML as a revolutionary new way to flip clothing and other items!
Genuinely free to try — no signup for a price check. Would love your feedback, especially if you flip, thrift, or resell.
Bonus we just shipped: a live Vintage Index — the most valuable vintage right now + biggest flip margins, updated weekly → flipper-vintage.com/vintage-index
Ask me anything, I'll be here all day 🙌

💡 Bright idea
One thing I'd love is a built-in fee estimator that nets out eBay/Depop/Poshmark/Mercari fees and shipping so I can see my actual take-home before listing. Right now I have to do that math separately for every piece.

@z_ezgi10358 Ezgi — you asked, so we shipped it 👀 Live now: take-home after fees and shipping per marketplace — and you don't even type the shipping, it auto-estimates it from the item (Poshmark & Depop the buyer covers it, so you net more there). Have a play and tell me if it's what you needed 🙌
thanks for the advice on how to make my tool alot better! please send your email and i will give you the first month of pro + for free

💡 Bright idea
Love that it's pulling from actual sold listings instead of asking prices — that alone makes it more useful than most pricing tools I've tried. One thing that would make it a game changer for me: let me save a watchlist of brands or categories and get pinged when the Vintage Index shows certain pieces trending up, so I can buy before the market catches on.

Honestly, feedback like yours on launch night is gold. Thank you for it 🙏 Give it a spin and tell me what you think — good or bad, I want to hear it.

Also be fantastic if skateboard collectors could get recent examples of prices certain boards have sold for through eBay, trademe (international online sale sites) etc aswel as the prices they’ve sold for/are still selling at if they are still available through any of the 1000s of retail outlets worldwide. Currency exchange rates.. and postage options and costs!!
Also, The Artists information for the board graphics, the info on the skateboarder who released the board.. all would be hugely helpful and useful!!!!

@eclectri hi Sam; although that would not fit into the scope of flipper-vintage.com we would be happy to make a system for you that will do exactly this by using flippers infrastructure. if that is something you would be interested in then please DM me

I had a whole wardrobe of my parents’ clothing to sort through. I entered the better pieces into Flipper Vintage as a list, and it quickly showed me what was worth selling and what was better donated. It saved me a lot of time and guesswork.

Ezgi — brilliant call. That per-piece fee math is exactly the tedium Flipper should be killing for you. Good news: we've already got all the marketplace fee data baked in (it's what powers the "best place to sell" pick), so turning it into a clear take-home number — fees and shipping — on every lookup is very doable. Adding it to the build list 🙌 Quick one: do you mostly spread across all four platforms, or lean on one or two? Want to build it around how you actually sell.
