@kayesakakiki this is so cool. Living in a city where for any sort of privacy I have to constantly open and close my blinds day and night, you can't imagine how many times I've broken blinds from pulling on the strings. Once I pulled it straight off of the wall! Nice stuff.
So smart! Love connected gadgets that get added your already purchased/installed products vs a complete replacement.

Hello,
This product would be perfect for people with plants in the home/office near windows to optimize the amount of sunlight the plants receive!
Best regards to your success!

@mcgrawbridget Hi Bridget, thank you for the question! We have been looking into DIY and affordable smart home hubs, which "work out of the box", without any professional installation needed and it turned out most of them have ZigBee. We will be adding a Z-wave-only version later as well, it's #2 protocol for us.

@kayesakakiki Good to know. I'm visiting @b8ta today and I'll do a survey of their communication protocols.
@mcgrawbridget@b8ta Great! Please say hi to John :) I'd love to have a look at the survey results, if possible

@kayesakakiki@b8ta Hi. I didn't see John but the store manager, Katrina, was super helpful and friendly. "Mostly BLE" is the answer... not a formal survey. I vibed out on @thync. Oddly energizing experience.
@mcgrawbridget Hi Bridget, my guess is there are more wearables than (inter) connected devices @b8ta and BLE is the king in wearables. Most IoT "influencers" agree that the best combo is BLE+smth for device-to-device and device-to-hub communication. @thync looks really cool! and unexpected. :)
