Flameshot is a free, open-source, cross-platform tool for taking screenshots. It has many powerful features, and it is still free, very easy to use, and user-friendly.
Flameshot is a feature-rich, easy-to-use, free screenshot tool that I have regularly used on my Linux and Windows systems for the past three or four years.
Initially, I was looking for a Lightshot alternative for my Ubuntu system and discovered the Flameshot. After using it for a few days, I fell in love with it and replaced Lightshot on my entire system (Sorry, Lightshot).
Here are a few reasons why I love it over others:
- Free and Open-source.
- Customization options from color to size for basic editing, annotation, etc.
- More features, including Blur. 1-click online sharing link using Imgur and so on.
- Cross-platform - I can use it across Windows, Linux, and Mac.
- Easy, clean, and beautiful interface.
Flameshot is one of the most used tools in my system. I use it to create a how-to guide, give feedback to the team, and more.
The best part is that it is free, open-source, feature-rich, available across all systems, and easy to use.
