Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Forrest, and I built FixYou alone.
I started it after losing someone in my family to a cancer that routine screening could have caught early. What stayed with me afterward was how preventable it felt. The screening existed. The guidelines existed. They just never made it from a medical PDF into a decision that one specific person could act on.
That gap is bigger than most people realize. Surveys in the US found that 43% of adults behind on screening simply did not know they needed it. In China, more than half a billion adults aged 45 to 74 are eligible for screening but have never been reached by an organized program. This is not a problem of missing science. The USPSTF and ACS guidelines have been free and public for decades. The problem is translation: turning a general guideline into "here is what you, specifically, should do."
That one thing is what FixYou does. You answer a few questions about your age, sex, family history, and lifestyle. In about 3 minutes you get a personalized plan with guidance across the common cancers and a Shield Score from 1 to 100 that tells you where you stand at a glance.
A couple of things that mattered to me while building it. It's free with no signup, because the people who most need this are the least likely to create an account. And it's private by design. We have no database storing user profiles, and we never collect your name or anything that could trace back to you.
FixYou is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace your doctor. Think of it as the free first step, the thing that tells you what conversation to go have.
I would genuinely love your feedback, especially on the screening logic and anything that feels unclear. I'll be in the comments all day.
Thank you for taking a look 🛡️
