A free, no-sign-up calculator for founders who sell or spend in foreign currencies. Enter your revenue and spend, see roughly what FX fees cost you per year, then get a plain-English plan to minimise these costs: receive and spend in the same currency (e.g. Wise or Airwallex + a local bank). Typically FX tools compare transfer rates; FixMyFX looks at your whole flow, income and spending. It runs entirely in your browser: your numbers are never collected or sent to a server.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Tania, a product manager (and former finance manager), and the maker of FixMyFX.
It started with a tweet. A founder shared a Stripe screenshot: on an $899 sale, about 6% had vanished in fees, and roughly 2% of that was automatic currency conversion, not processing. I replied with a simple fix: get a USD account (Wise, say) and convert when you choose. My reply got got attention - comments, 40 bookmarks, 5.9K views, while I had about 100 followers. A week later he switched off auto-conversion.
I planned to write a guide. While sketching the FX diagram, I realised a calculator would help more, because everyone's mix of currencies, revenue and spend is different, and seeing your own number persuades more than a general rule.
