FitGate is a brilliant productivity hack for developers. It turns dead waiting time during AI coding agent approval prompts (like Cursor and Claude Code) into healthy movement breaks. The fact that it runs completely local, works offline, and fails open so it never blocks urgent debugging sessions makes it a seamless addition to any daily workflow.
@surya61This is clever as hell. The permission prompt dead time is something I never thought about turning into a feature instead of just an annoyance.
I sit too much when working with these tools, half the time I zone out waiting for the next prompt anyway. Might actually trick me into moving more.
Does it interrupt every single permission call or can you set a frequency?
@dinakar_mathiΒ Thanks for your comment! I've set a cooldown of 20 minutes, so it can trigger at most 3 times per hour or up to 24 times across an 8-hour workday. If you want more/less frequent prompts, you can just edit the config file in the source code.
This is such a clever way to fight sedentary coding days! Might get a few strange looks in the office when I suddenly drop for 10 push-ups, but my back will definitely thank me. Looking forward to giving this a run with Cursor!
