The team at Lantern launched FireTweet - an Android app that provides unblocked tweeting to people in censored regions like China and Iran. FireTweet gives the full experience of Twitter without any additional configurations. Other features include:
•Free and open source
•Easy-to-use: automatically integrates with Twitter, use an existing account or create a new one
•Integrates Lantern as a shared library, and, using a small segment of code, updates the application to use a proxy server on start
•All HTTP traffic is routed through a distributed network of direct proxies
•All Twitter API requests are processed through Lantern
