Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Michael, building finisma.de in Hamburg, Germany. Germany now requires structured e-invoices for B2B transactions. The format is called ZUGFeRD (in France: Factur-X). It is a PDF/A-3 with an embedded EN 16931 XML payload. Receiving capability has been mandatory since January 2025. Issuing becomes mandatory in January 2027 for companies above €800k revenue, and in January 2028 for everyone else. Most existing tools target larger companies: ERP modules priced between €40 and €250 per seat per month, or full cloud accounting suites that require a complete workflow migration. A freelancer or small workshop with 10 invoices a month does not need any of that. finisma offers two free tools, no signup, no credit card. Converter. You drop a PDF. The LLM extracts every field. You review and correct in a quick form. The EN 16931 XML gets embedded into a PDF/A-3. You download. Done in under a minute. Viewer. You drop a ZUGFeRD or Factur-X PDF. You get structural checks (PDF/A-3, embedded XML, factur-x.xml filename, AF markers, Factur-X metadata). Every field from the embedded XML is parsed and displayed. Useful for checking your own outgoing invoices before sending them, and for verifying invoices you receive. Currently the ZUGFeRD invoices get a watermark, with a small monthly payment this is can to be removed. Privacy: • uploaded PDFs auto-delete after 5 minutes • German servers in an ISO 27001 certified data center • OpenAI processes only the extracted text via API. The Data Processing Addendum excludes training. Feedback welcome.
