Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Ethan, the cofounder of Finful, which we affectionately call the “Duolingo for finance.” We’re on a mission to make financial education not just accessible but also enjoyable. Here’s the backstory, I'm from Vietnam, a beautiful country where unfortunately, about 70 million people struggle with basic financial literacy. Growing up, I saw firsthand how a lack of financial knowledge could affect lives—it's a real challenge; many don’t have the knowledge to make informed financial decisions, which can lead to all sorts of issues. Let’s be honest, learning about finance can be a drag. It often involves too many numbers and can get pretty boring with the traditional approaches. Plus, most platforms either skim the surface or are too complex, and let's not start on finding the time to learn! So, we thought: why not make learning finance as easy and engaging as learning a new language on an app like Duolingo? That’s what sparked Finful. We've designed it to break down complex financial concepts into small, manageable lessons that you can take at your own pace—anytime, anywhere. We launched Finful in Vietnam and have seen incredible engagement and stories of real impact. People are not only learning but applying this knowledge to make smarter, more informed financial decisions. This success has inspired us to bring Finful to the world stage, to help address this global challenge of financial education. Personally, I’ve ridden the rollercoaster of financial uncertainty—making mistakes and learning hard lessons about money management. These experiences have driven me to ensure no one else has to go through financial confusion alone. We're happy to share Finful with the Product Hunt community and would love to get your feedback.
