Hey everyone 👋 I've been working on FineStation for a while and finally got it deployed. The original idea came from a pretty stupid problem I kept having while studying: I'd open YouTube to watch a lecture and end up doing literally anything except watching the lecture. So I started building my own little study workspace around it. The main idea is to have everything I need to study in one place: YouTube lectures without the recommendation/Shorts rabbit hole YouTube Music Lecture playlists Notes organized as Books → Pages Today / Week / Month planning Focus mode + timer Study statistics Tasks and progress tracking A small pixel-art pet A cozy desktop/workstation-style interface And yeah — it's completely free. No ads, subscriptions or premium tier. I also wanted it to feel more like a little digital study desk than another productivity SaaS dashboard. I spent quite a lot of time on the small UI details and the overall atmosphere. Tech-wise it's built with Next.js, TypeScript, Firebase/Firestore, Tiptap, Zustand and Tailwind.
