Hey hunters! I'm Christophe Louvion, co-founder of Findout. My passion has been seeking out adventures (kitesurfing, diving, caving...), taking the family on discovery road trips, and trying out the amazing restaurants we’re lucky enough to have in LA. Over the years I’ve been following people that share the same interests, from local celebrity Jonathan Gold, to fellow adrenaline junkies. My long time friend and co-founder Steve Neufer has also collected an impressive list of remote places to go relaxing, from hidden fishing spots in California, to the best place in Baja (no, definitively not Cabo). He also knows the best taco joints in town, you know, the ones with no sign on the building. To this date, he still keeps secret where he finds all of this! Over time, as friends continually asked for recommendations and links to great places for the weekend or trip ahead, we realized there was an opportunity to provide this type of curated insider guide to more than just friends. We got together to create an elegant, modern, mobile solution and Findout was born. Findout combines knowledge from foodies and adventurers we hand select, detailed mapping and geo data, and a bit of data magic, to create a personalized, location aware adventure and activity guide for any place in the world. Findout was built the way we would want to use the app, with users at the forefront; so there are no banner ads, no registration requirements, no requests to access your contacts or photos, just awesome full length expert recommendations for free. Findout launched in Beta in February and is now live throughout the US West Coast including Nevada and Hawaii and will have adventures nationwide by the end of the year.
