I have been following Rich Roll's story from before this book was released several years back and it is quite inspiring. At 40 years old, working as an entertainment lawyer, he was barely able to make it up the stairs. He lived off the standard American diet but at that point decided to turn things around. He switched to a plant based diet and began running. He has since competed in numerous ultra distance races and is now a podcast host and health and wellness advocate.
