Find My LAN Device discovers every device on your Wi-Fi from an iPhone or iPad. TCP + Bonjour/mDNS scanning, continuous monitoring, CSV export, and a sonar mode that probes a host with live audio feedback. 100% on-device — no account, no tracking, no data leaves your phone.

Hey hunters 👋 I'm Oscar, the indie maker behind Find My LAN Device.
This started as a frustration. iOS won't let you ping, read the ARP
table, or open a raw socket — Apple's sandbox blocks all of it. So most
"network scanners" on the App Store either fake it or fall apart the
moment you point them at a full /24.
I rebuilt detection from scratch:
• Double-pass TCP-connect scanning with capped concurrency, so iOS
doesn't choke when probing 254 hosts at once
• Bonjour/mDNS merged into the same results (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH)
• Explicit VPN/Tailscale interface exclusion, so it scans your real
Wi-Fi subnet and not a tunnel
• Continuous monitoring that surfaces new devices the second they join
The v2.1 highlight is Sonar mode: pick a host and get live TCP-continuity
beeps — think cable tester, but for your LAN. Weirdly satisfying when
you're tracing what's actually up.
Everything runs 100% on-device. No account, no analytics, nothing leaves
your phone. Free to scan, with a one-time €1.99 unlock for Pro.
The iOS sandbox war stories are honestly my favorite part — happy to go
deep on any of it. And I'd love to hear: what's the device on your
network you could never quite identify? 👀
