Where was it filmed? 2,466 filming locations in 91 countries, joined to the 3,276 films and series shot at them. Not every film ever made: a title earns a pin by being known outside the country that made it, 25 Wikipedia languages for a film, 20 for a series. Search a title to see everywhere it was shot, or a place to see what was made there. Every pin is a "filming location" statement on Wikidata, with photos from Wikimedia Commons. Nothing scraped, nothing generated. Free, no signup, no ads.

I got tired of googling "where was this filmed" and landing on listicles, so I made the map instead. 2,466 places, 3,276 films and series.
Every pin is a "filming location" statement on Wikidata, the photos come from Wikimedia Commons, and each card links back to the item it came from so you can check any of it. Nothing was scraped off a listicle and nothing was written by a model.
That cuts both ways. Gladiator has no location recorded on Wikidata at all, so it is not on the map. Lawrence of Arabia has one pin, London, because the desert work is filed only as "Jordan", "Morocco" and "Spain", and I am not going to drop a dot in the middle of a country and call it a place. 1,006 productions have at least one shoot like that, and those get printed as text instead.
It is also not every film ever made, on purpose. A title has to be known outside the country that made it, which I measure as 25 Wikipedia languages for a film and 20 for a series. I tried it without that bar and got a map of films nobody has heard of with Skyfall buried somewhere inside it.
A few I liked finding: Pinewood Studios has 155 productions on it. Dubrovnik has Game of Thrones, The Last Jedi and Robin Hood. Skellig Michael is there for one film.
Free, no signup, no ads. There is also a page for every film and every location if you would rather read than pan around.
Tell me what is missing. Either it is under the fame bar, which I can move, or it is missing on Wikidata, which anyone can fix.
Searched for a few old movies I love and was honestly surprised how many obscure filming spots it pulled up, with real photos attached. The Wikidata sourcing gives it a trustworthy feel that most film-location sites lack.

@xavier_yardley Thanks. The photos were the part I expected to be weakest, so that is good to hear. They come from Wikimedia Commons, which means coverage is uneven in a way I cannot control, but when a place has been photographed at all it usually looks better than a still from the film would.
Which old films did you try? If any came up thin I would like to know. Most of the gaps I have found so far are a missing statement on Wikidata rather than a bug in my code, and anyone can fix one of those in about a minute. That is most of why I built it on Wikidata instead of scraping.
