Fillvisa OS is an open-source, self-hostable platform for completing U.S. immigration forms. It provides a simpler, browser-based interface for filling forms such as USCIS applications and the DS-160, then generating ready-to-review official PDFs. It is built for immigrants, families, nonprofits, developers, and organizations that want a transparent alternative to closed immigration form-filling platforms.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m excited to launch Fillvisa OS - an open-source platform for U.S. immigration forms
I originally built Fillvisa to make U.S. immigration forms easier to complete. But over time, one request kept coming up: "can I self-host it, inspect the code, and keep full control over my data?"
That pushed me toward open source.
With Fillvisa OS, you can:
- Fill supported USCIS forms and the DS-160 through a simpler browser-based experience
- Generate ready-to-review immigration forms
- Self-host the entire project
- Inspect exactly how your data is handled
- Fork it, modify it, or build your own immigration tools on top of it
It’s licensed under AGPL-3.0 and available on GitHub.
My longer-term goal is for Fillvisa OS to become useful open infrastructure for immigration - not just something individuals can use, but something nonprofits, developers, legal-tech teams, and other organizations can build on.
This is still an early release, so feedback is especially valuable.
I’d love to hear:
What forms, integrations, or use cases would make Fillvisa OS more useful to you?
Thanks for checking it out 🙌
