Hi Product Hunt! π
We built Figviz after watching teachers spend entire evenings redrawing cell diagrams and free-body diagrams for worksheets β and watching generic AI image tools get the science embarrassingly wrong (mitochondria floating outside the cell, force arrows pointing nowhere).
Figviz is a diagram generator that takes a sentence, a topic, or a PDF and returns an accurate, labeled figure for biology, chemistry, physics, and K-12 math. It's built for classrooms first:
π¬ Accurate + labeled β diagrams follow textbook conventions, every part named
π PDF in, diagram out β drop in a worksheet or paper, get the figure it needs
π¨οΈ Print-ready PNG export for worksheets, slides, and study notes
π§° 150+ free single-purpose tools (cell diagram maker, unit circle, and more)
π§βπ» API + MCP server β generate diagrams from your own apps or from Claude
Pricing is simple: free to start (3 credits), then pay-as-you-go. No subscription.
π For Product Hunt: our founding Lifetime deal is live β $199 (reg. $299) for 1,200 credits + 60/mo for a year, limited to 50 seats.
We'd love your feedback β especially from teachers, students, and anyone who makes science content. What diagram should we nail next?

How accurate is it really with more niche biology topics like cell signaling pathways or metabolic cycles, and does it pull from a verified source or just generate from its own training?
Hey Okan β honest answer, since it's the right question to ask.
Figviz generates with a frontier image model (Gemini-family), not a live scientific database. So for niche topics, treat it as a fast first draft, not an authority β left to pure generation, models do fumble the exact steps of a cascade or mislabel an intermediate. That's real.
So we don't leave it to pure recall:
1) Verified presets for well-known hard topics β metabolic cycles (glycolysis, Krebs, Calvin, ETC) and signaling cascades (MAPK/ERK, cAMPβPKA, insulin, apoptosis). We inject a hand-verified component list into the prompt so the model reproduces the canonical steps in the right order instead of inventing them. We actually shipped this today after your comment β here's a fresh MAPK/ERK run (RTK β GRB2/SOS β Ras β Raf β MEK β ERK β nucleus, correctly ordered).
2) Bring your own source β drop in a PDF (a textbook page or paper) and Figviz grounds the diagram in your material, not the model's memory.
Bottom line: a drafting tool for teachers and students who review before use β strongest on standard curriculum, grounded by our presets or your own source. For a truly obscure pathway, give it a reference and sanity-check the labels.
Thanks for pushing on this β it made the product better today.

Love that it spits out print-ready PNGs straight from a sentenceβthat detail alone saves me a ton of time prepping slides. Clean execution for teachers.
