⚡️I'm launching a Startup a week until I find Product-Market-Fit. Insp by @marc_louvion @levelsio This week I’ve launched 💬Feedby, a tool to filter your company's YouTube comments for user feedback & bug reports and get them in your inbox. Check it out at http://feedby.danigleba.com Check out what I'm building at https://danigleba.com
Vincent Delitz
@marc_louvion @levelsio @danigleba very cool, congrats on launch! Which AI model are you using?
Dani
Hi @vdelitz, Thanks! I'm using gpt-3.5-turbo-1106
Huynh Trinh
@danigleba The tool looks great. It will be really helpful for the Youtubers who have a lot of followers. How accurate of the filter? You know that we all do not want to miss any important comments, feedback, and bug reports by accident. What are the filter options users can have to use? Can they customize it? If yes, it will be awesome.
Dani
Thanks @trinhdhuynh! Working on it
Clément
Hey, congrats on the launch! I was scrolling over a ton of comments on a Youtube video yesterday to find an info and did not think of any product about this problem, good find! 😄 I feel like the $1 paywall might be a bit harsh though. Maybe an ad model like Youtube summarizers/downloaders sites would be a better fit to engage users?
Dani
Thanks @clement_mia! Interesting, honestly, I added the paywall to avoid losing money on OpenAI credit hahaha. I will definitely consider other monetization options.
Clément
@danigleba Ahah I understand, I had the same considerations but hey, sometimes we've to commit 😄 That said, I found out that GPT3.5 can be really cheap, especially when using the same conversation with a single pre-prompt. I'm curious to know how your handled this part btw!
Dani
@clement_mia I just pass the comments to a pre-prompt and use OpenAI's api completions to get an answer in JSON mode. Most YT videos have <1k comments, so that's pretty cheap. But if you run it with thousands of comments, the length of the prompt brings the price up. Not to crazy numbers, but of course, in scale, it would be considerable.
Clément
@danigleba yep, I understand. Free below nk comments, payed over nk maybe or something? I'm even getting the paywall for videos with a few comments (watch?v=Jv0g6KJmIG4). You could also warn the user but still run the prompt only for the first n comments so it does not block the user but keeps some kind of limitation. My 2 cents! Well done anyway! :)
Dani
@clement_mia Definitely, thank you!
Kostya Doronin
Congratulations on the launch. There is an issue. Excellent speed. Be careful on the turns. What are the future plans for its development?
Dani
@kostyadoronin Thanks! The plan is to add sentiment analysis and improve UX with YT videos. After that, adding other channels like Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, Intercom... And possibly automate everything so that any new comment in any new channel is automatically filtered, stored, organized and summarized.
Kostya Doronin
@danigleba looks like a real challenge. wish you luck, Dani
Rick Fan
This is a really useful service, but are there plans to support other services besides YouTube, like Redis or Discord?
Dani
Hi @rick_fan, the logical path would be to add other websites, of course. For now, it is only YT, but stay tuned :)!
Shimron Singh
Super helpful for creators :) Does it segment the comments into positive, negative, neutral? I can see this being very handy for social media managers too
Dani
Hi @shimron_etrnl, Thanks! Now it organizes comments in feedback, bug reports and questions. But targeting social media creators or managers is a great idea! Then, of course, I would add features like positive, negative, etc.
Shimron Singh
@danigleba When do you anticipate that changes are made accordingly to feedback? (Not to rush or anything haha, just curious) Yes, social media creators and managers are good but the overall marketing team too, since we base alot of our strategy on sentiment! Excited to see the progress of a great product :)
Dani
Thanks for the insight @shimron_etrnl! I can add the feature in the following days. Can you please explain everything you would like to get for your marketing team (so I can add it to the site hahahah). - Positive, negative and neutral comments - Anything else you would like to see?
Shimron Singh
@danigleba Perhaps it can turn into some kind of chart, with % of positive, negative, neutral, question feedback (if that makes sense lol?). That way, it's easy to review and report! I can think of more in due time. If you have twitter, give a follow and I'll keep in touch with you with any other suggestions :)
Dani
@shimron_etrnl Great thanks, just followed you on twitter. I'll let you know once I'm done with the new feature
Lotanna Nwose
cool product, wonder if you can draw insights from thee feedback in any way. Maybe something like sentiment analysis
Dani
@_viclotana Working on sentiment analysis right now. :) Stay tuned
Lukas Rüger
Wow, great idea! How are the comments pulled off YouTube? Are you scraping the site of the video? Reading it off the HTML? I'm sure there are a few ways YouTube blocks automated reading of comments, right?
Dani
Hi @lrueger, I use the YouTube API to get all comments in JSON, turn them into text, and send them as part of the prompt to the AI. Which returns in JSON format. It is pretty simple, honestly.
