This story started as a spur-of-the-moment story my daughter begged out of me. I couldn't get this idea out of my head, so I built it and put it in your heads instead! I hope this resonates with other parents of young ones and family middle-of-the-night routines. The book is subtly animated that the screenshots I uploaded here can't capture, so check it out!
Father’s Night started as a spur-of-the-moment story my 6 year old daughter squeezed out of me when asking for something on the fly. Maybe other dads can relate to being on-call for their family every night and the toll / reward of that responsibility.
Now I do agree that screen-time should be avoided, especially late at night for the youngsters. Hopefully you’ll find this a great bedtime story to read to your kids regardless of the digital format though.
My goal was always to build an experience that feels like a bedtime story, even with subtle animation and being digital. So that means no ads, gamification and the only "upsell" to my mailing list is on the ending page. Let me know what you and your family think!
