I built FateRead because I was tired of astrology apps that felt either too vague or too superstitious.
Growing up, my family would occasionally consult BaZi (the Chinese "Four Pillars of Destiny") for big life decisions. The readings were fascinating, but getting a quality one meant finding the right practitioner, paying a lot, and hoping they weren't just making things up. Most online tools either spit out generic templates or drown you in ancient text you can't parse.
So I wondered: what if modern AI could bridge that gap? Not to replace the human interpreter, but to make the underlying logic transparent, personalized, and actually useful for self-reflection.
FateRead takes your birth chart and walks you through the dynamics — your elemental balance, decade luck cycles, and yearly transitions — in plain language. We trained the interpretations against multiple classical schools (Zi Ping, Zi Wei Dou Shu, and Blind School) and built in cross-validation so conflicting theories surface rather than hide.
The most interesting part of building this was watching how differently people react to the same reading. Some want career timing. Others want relationship compatibility. A surprising number just want to understand why they feel "stuck" in a particular year. That pushed us beyond a simple report into an interactive chat where you can keep asking follow-ups.
If you've ever been curious about Chinese astrology, or just want a fresh lens on your own patterns, I'd love for you to try it. Happy to answer questions or hear what you'd want to see next.
