We built this API because we needed clean Instagram data for our own free tools, like profile lookups and engagement checks. Once it worked for us, we opened it up.
It has 27 read-only endpoints for public Instagram data: profiles, follower counts, posts, reels, stories, highlights, comments and engagement rate. Everything comes back as plain JSON, with one API key in a header. There's an OpenAPI spec and a Postman collection if you want to try it quickly.
The free plan gives you 50 credits a month, no card needed. Pro is $9.90 a month for 5,000 credits.
We're an independent service, not affiliated with Instagram or Meta, and we only read public data.
