Live scores and market prices, running quietly behind your MacBook's notch. Native, tiny, no permissions.

Hi Product Hunt, I’m Deveshwar.
In 2022 I picked the MacBook Air M2 over the 13-inch MacBook Pro, mostly for the screen: thin bezels and a notch instead of a Touch Bar and thick borders. I was proud enough of that top strip that I’d park my pointer up there just to keep the menu bar on show. Then I noticed that most of the day, the space either side of the notch does nothing.
Fan Notch started in my MBA’s AI in Business class, where the brief was to build something people would actually use. My version: stop picking up my phone, or three-finger swiping to another desktop, every time India were batting or the market moved.
What it does:
• Cricket, tennis, football and F1 scores, and Indian market prices (through your own Upstox account), run in a thin black band beside the notch
• Point at it and it folds into a strip below the notch, so the menu bar stays clickable
• Click for a panel: sports on one side, markets on the other
• Pin a match left or right of the notch; a wicket takes over the row for a moment
Most notch apps grow the notch downwards into a bigger island. I wanted to use the space around it instead.
