I thought Cloudflare did this for free?

When your website goes offline, for whatever reason, Failswitch will automatically detect this and re-route all traffic to a static copy of your site until the original version comes back online.

This looks neats. My biggest concern was trusting them with my DNS, so it's comforting to see that address in the FAQ: > "Why should I trust Failswitch with my DNS? Well, you don’t have to! We have partnered with one of the most reliable DNS providers out there; DNS Made Easy. DNS is such a critical part of running a web site, we wouldn’t feel comfortable with anything less then the best! We have been using DME for nearly a decade and we wouldn’t even consider using another provider!" A slightly ironic bug - on the second carousel slide "View Plans & Pricing" goes to https://failswitch.com/more which 404s.

@Taylor Edminston Tnx for pointing out that faulty link; all fixed up now :) @Ian Hunter Just had a closer look at exactly what CloudFlare is offering these days, but wasn't able to locate anything like a site failover product (then again, might have overlooked it). Do you have a link the info talking about this product? Tnx!

Hey everyone! We have created a coupon especially for Product Hunt users! The coupon PRODUCTHUNT2015 will give 25% off on a yearly subscription. There are only 20 coupons available, so grab one while you can. Cheers!

I use Cloudflare for practically every site I have. They have an 'Always Online' function - which is essentially what this offers, static backup. They also offer a wide range of other services for free.

CloudFlare does indeed have a similar feature; however there are a couple of differences. CloudFlare does not keep a backup of the entire site, rather a backup of the most popular pages (in case a page does not exist, the user will see an error), Failswitch always backs up the entire site. Second, CloudFlare only crawls your site once every seven days where Failswitch crawls and copies your site every single day. Third, in case your site is returning pages with a no-cache header, these pages won't be backed up, Failswitch copies every page no matter what the header says. Finally, CloudFlare does not activate form submissions on the backed up sites, Failswitch is working on a new feature where forms remain usable on the backed up site.
