I haven't had a Facebook account for at least 5 years. Even at age 20 the baby photos and weddings in my newsfeed became nauseating.
Looking back, I think one reason people with similar sentiments hang onto their Facebook account is because of the sense of self-worth it provides, namely regarding the size of your friends list.
