Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Akshaya, a software engineer and Stanford CS student on leave. This is my first project on PH! I built Expressiv out of my personal frustrations with code search as an intern at a bunch of top tech companies in Silicon Valley. I realized I was wasting senior engineers' time asking for help and spending hours looking for outdated code and missing docs in my codebase. With Expressiv, you can find the internal code you're looking for with natural language -- the same way you'd ask Google or StackOverflow for help finding an open-source library function. Some main features: 🤖Automated: Setting up Expressiv on your codebase requires no manual input or setup -- we sync up with your existing dev tools (version control, docs, etc) to unify your info. 💪Robust: Documentation sucks, so we help out by providing some extra annotations (generated by AI) to help your understanding. 👫Collaborative: We know automated annotations aren't enough to fully understand nuances or "gotchas". That's why we make it easy to Slack the authors of the code you're looking for and ask them for help. Thanks for your support!
