Hey! I’m Phil. I’m a motion and cinematic designer. I was honestly just tired of how annoying it is to re-export stuff from 3D tools or game engines. It always felt way slower and more complicated than it should be. Most tools felt either overkill or weirdly limited. Also, the subscription model is a plague at the moment. So I started building my own thing. It began as a small utility I made for myself and it just kept growing whenever I needed something new. Everything in Expi exists because I actually use it, almost every day. People around me that are into content creation (shoutout to my loved ones creating stuff on social media in this day and age, you guys are crazy!) kept asking the same questions. I really love helping people but hearing the same “Which format should I use?” or “I just want this video in X format or Y resolution.” This is the light bulb moment that got me thinking, maybe I should make Expi more user friendly and available? Less options or complicated settings screaming at you. Fewer clicks. Just get in, get what you need, and move on. I’m not really trying to make money with this. I’m mostly building Expi because I enjoy working on it, and honestly nothing motivates me more than having a few real users and slowly polishing the app for them. You can try it for free first, I'm only limiting the final output size, everything else is there. Like I said earlier, subscription model can go f*ck right off. Expi is buy once, own forever. It's a promise. FYI, full transparency, this comment ran through a pass of AI just to make sure my ideas flowed correctly. Just a few adjustments here and there. It's still me talking haha.
