Most expense-splitting apps require everyone to create an account, which means half your group never joins and you end up chasing people manually anyway. ExpenDiv only requires the person managing the bills to sign up. Add your shared expenses, enter your group's email addresses, and automated reminders handle the follow-ups. Your roommates or friends get notified by email with no account required on their end. Built specifically for recurring shared bills, not one-off restaurant splits.

Was getting annoying keeping track of all my subscriptions I share with my family or friends. I would end up forgetting to ask them to cashapp or zelle me and I'd just let it come out of my account. I just really wanted a way to automate all of that.
What started as a way to just log everything turned into adding a way to trigger a text message. That eventually evolved into automated email, bill breakdowns and adding multiple people.
Now I want to extend this app to everyone because i love using it.

Some small additions that went out today:
Customize your reminder emails
You can now control how your payment reminders look and when they go out, per bill.
Choose how your reminder comes across:
Gentle - "Just a friendly heads up..."
Friendly - "Hey, quick reminder..."
Firm - "This is a reminder that your payment is still outstanding."
Personal notes: Add a custom message that appears in every reminder for that bill. Great for context like "Venmo me at @username" or "Let me know if you have questions."
Send timing: Pick when automated reminders fire: on the due date, or 3, 7, or 14 days before.
All three settings live inside Edit Bill at the bottom of the form.
Available to Premium members. Free accounts can still send manual reminders anytime.
To try it: open any bill, tap Edit, and scroll to Reminder settings.

What happens if a friend just ignores the email reminders completely, does anything actually change or is it still on me to track who owes what?

@leylad3c5 unfortunately if its completely ignored, then its on you. But that will be a great thing to solve for!

Finally an expense splitter that doesn't require my roommates to download anything just to see what they owe me. The email reminders actually feel like the right approach for recurring bills with people who don't want another app.

the choice to only require the organizer to sign up is genuinely smart, cuts out the biggest friction in every other split app ive tried.

@alperemar84836 Absolutely! I personally dont like needing to download an app to participate in things, so wanted to avoid it

The no-signup-for-friends part is what sold me. Finally an expense splitter that gets that my roommates will never download another app. Reminders just go out and they pay.

Hey everyone! Testing out some cool real time state syncs. When someone that you added pays through the reminder, your dashboard will get updated as paid for that person.
