Neil Gerstenberg
Hi Product Hunt! Neil here, along with my son Miles. I've been building calendar management tools since 2009. My Google Sheets add-on, Sheets2GCal, has been downloaded over 8 million times, and for years the most common request I heard was: "Can you make this for Outlook?" The problem is simple but frustrating: managing calendar events in bulk is painful. Whether you're scheduling classes, planning a conference, or just trying to export your calendar for reporting or tracking event metadata that you don't want others to see, doing it manually in Outlook is tedious. And when it comes to removing duplicates and mass-editing events in Outlook there are very few tools available that make this easy for non-coders. So we decided to bring the same spreadsheet-powered workflow that Google users loved to the Microsoft ecosystem. Excel is already where people organize their data, so why not let them manage their calendar there too? Miles (who is preparing for university but already has 10 years of coding experience) built the Excel add-in while I focused on the web app, backend infrastructure and security. It was a true family collaboration, debating features over dinner and testing across time zones. After 6 months of hard work we are finally happy with the results and Excelendar is now live! We'd love to hear how you manage calendar events today and what features would make your life easier.
