What's great

EvidenceFlow brings the core systematic-review workflow into one connected workspace. Instead of moving between separate tools for screening, spreadsheets for extraction, PRISMA bookkeeping, and meta-analysis, researchers can manage those steps in one project.

The platform supports blinded multi-reviewer screening, conflict resolution with an audit trail, structured data extraction, PRISMA 2020 flow diagrams, and meta-analysis outputs such as forest and funnel plots. The core workflow is free to use, which makes it more accessible for students, independent researchers, and small research teams.

What I value most is that the platform is designed to assist researchers without replacing their judgment. AI can help prioritize and structure work, but final inclusion, exclusion, extraction, and analysis decisions remain under researcher control.

What needs improvement

We are early and improving import/export compatibility, extraction templates, collaboration controls, methodology documentation, onboarding, integrations, and transparent AI configuration. Researcher feedback is actively shaping the roadmap.

Researchers often use a combination of Rayyan, Covidence, RevMan, Zotero, Excel, R, and manual PRISMA templates. These tools can be strong at individual parts of the process, but teams often need to transfer data between them and reconcile decisions, counts, and versions manually.

EvidenceFlow was chosen for a connected workflow: define the review question and criteria, screen with collaborators, resolve disagreements, extract structured study data, generate PRISMA reporting outputs, run meta-analysis, and export records from the same workspace.

The goal is not to claim that one tool is best for every research project. It is to give teams that want an accessible, end-to-end workflow a simpler alternative to managing several disconnected tools.
