What do you think? …

My wife keeps a perennial calendar on the fridge for all the birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and special events that happen every year. When we flip to the next month, she is often surprised if someone’s birthday is in the first few days of the month. Then, she’s crushed she didn’t have time to send a card. This is both very cute and very archaic. I’ve wanted an excuse to dive into SwiftUI and I wanted to make something better than the calendar on the fridge. So, I spent the last year building this app. It lets you keep track of birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and special events that happen every year. I leveraged my marketing genius and named it Every Year. You can set custom notifications to be alerted days or weeks before an event, and it’s got some other fun stuff too. If this is for you, hopefully it’s better than what you’re currently using. Check it out. Share it with someone who may find it useful. And, please repost this if you think this is cool or just want to help me celebrate the launch. Thanks!

Isn't this possible with the default iOS calender app?

Upvoted! Wondering though, how does Every Year handle all those notifications? I'm hopeful it's not going to bombard me with alerts until I'm scampering to hit 'snooze'.

Congratulations @parkerehret on the launch! I actually love the app and the idea, my daily driver is actually an Android phone, so I honestly can't wait for this to showup on the PlayStore. Also, I know this is an app, but implementing web with weekly emails on the weekend with "coming up", and "memories" might be a delightful direction that this product might go. Could be a great re-onboarding strategy too if and when users remove the app in their quarterly app sweeps (aka. when space starts running out) Definitely following this product closely to hopefully make myself a better friend and family member haha.
