I like your design. I would start using it if it could do more than storing a birthdate. I actually think you have a good basis for an app I wanted to create: something that suggests presents. You could integrate a list of suggested presents based on the age of the owner. And allow users to trigger the order via your app (earn affiliate fee)

@michael19 Thanks! My idea is to use this app for everything that has a date - birthday, wedding anniversary, or even national holiday. Of course, this is what is planned for future development. App already has a small shop of predefined events.

@michael19, Can you set avatars in calendar? Can you have a week before notification in calendar? Can you get zodiac sign (and Chinese zodiac) for birthday in calendar? Can you get a wedding anniversary name from calendar? Some of those - yes, maybe you can. But Events also offers handy, good-looking widget, different type of events, and more.
