I'm Sergey, the founder of EVBets. Here's the honest story behind it.
I've been into sports betting analytics for 8+ years. The frustrating thing was always the same: you'd find a good line, but by the time you checked 5 different bookmakers manually, the value was gone. So I built the tool I wished existed.
How EVBets works in plain English:
We pull odds from 47 bookmakers every 30 minutes via The Odds API
We identify sharp reference books (Pinnacle, Betfair Exchange) to strip out the vig
We calculate true no-vig probability and find bets where best available odds > true probability
Only bets between +1% and +20% EV show up — anything higher is usually a data artifact
What it's not: a tipster service, a get-rich-quick tool, or a guarantee of profit. Value betting is a long-term mathematical edge. You need volume and discipline — the calculator and Kelly Criterion tool are there to help with that.

The whole thing runs on FastAPI + Astro.js, deployed on a single VPS in Amsterdam. Built it solo, nights and weekends.
