I created EnerSim as a way to calculate the ideal size of a battery storage system for a customer. The customer needed more electric power for machines andev charges while the grid connection was limited. I calculated that adding 300kW of solar panels and 460kWh of battery storage capacity would solve his issues. The solution also saved the customer a lot of money. Many iterations later this resulted in the complete energy system simulation tool.
