EmpiricCommander brings the classic dual-pane workflow to Apple devices, built 100% in SwiftUI. Full keyboard control, tabs, a built-in terminal, archive browsing, batch rename, and native connectors for SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, S3, Azure, Google Drive, and iCloud.
Now with optional on-device AI (Apple Intelligence): summarize files and rename in plain language - fully private, nothing leaves your device. The manual tools always work.

Quick update for anyone following EmpiricCommander š
The last few releases bring on-device AI (Apple Intelligence) - and true to the app's privacy posture, everything runs locally, nothing leaves your device:
⢠AI Summary - select one or more text files (code, config, JSON, CSV, Markdown) and get a short summary of each, without opening them
⢠Plain-language batch rename - describe what you want ("prefix csv files with data_") and the app fills in the operation
⢠Find files in plain words in Disk Usage - type "over 100 MB not touched in a year" and the view filters to match
Also new: a rebuilt batch-rename engine (prefix/suffix, remove, change case, number, change extension), HTML files now render as a page in the preview, and batch rename came to iPhone.
The AI is optional and needs a device with Apple Intelligence; the manual tools always work the same. All of this is a free update for existing owners - one-time purchase, never a subscription.
Feedback very welcome!
