Empathy.

A written message can convey a meaning, a photo can also be very expressive and a video can say a lot... But a person's voice is the most powerful thing to express one's true feelings. You can just listen to somebody without even seeing that person and through that person's voice vibrations his or her true emotional state is revealed. But only if we could truly listen. And that has become a problem in our modern society. Everybody is talking but nobody is listening. If we do manage to listen, we are often just waiting until the other person finishes so that we can say what is on OUR mind. We are moving so fast as time goes by and we have reached a point where we don't even know what we did a week ago or even yesterday. What if, in this crazy race called life, we would just take a break for 1 minute to listen to ourselves and our closest ones. Empathy is simple as it allows you to do two clear things: you have 1 minute to record what you did in a day and then either you keep the recording in your private audio journal or share that wonderful minute full of great experiences with your friends. This is a great tool of introspection in a world where we don’t have time to keep written journals, but also connect with your friends on a more intimate level than you would by means of pictures. Think about it, social networks presently allow you to get to know people by means of text or photos, but how much more of your personality and ideas could you be able to share with the others if only you gave them the opportunity to also LISTEN to you. Secondly, if you have your mindset on a goal, you can track your progress by having this journal in which you record every action that you take towards your goal. If we feel discouraged or demotivated the best way to obtain the necessary fuel to get up from the ground is to relieve the same emotional states that we had when we were full of excitement and passion. At the end of the journey you will not only see your dream come true, but you will also hear it. Moreover, when you hear the excitement, the drive and the determination of one of your friends or acquaintances on pursuing their dreams it can be a truly inspirational experience to boost your spirits as well and get you out and working. Our purpose is to connect people in a much deeper way by making them listen to each other and also getting to know themselves better by having an audio journal seasoned with all life’s gifts. To listen is an effort, and just to hear is no merit. A duck also hears. Love.
