@bentossell hey Ben! The dictionary popup should only appear if you ask for it - via keyboard shortcut or contextual menu.
Anyway, until recently I worked at Apple as a Technology Evangelist and so I am aware of a lot of technologies in macOS and iOS that are not frequently used. Plus I love emoji.
So for the recent World Emoji Day (July 17) I thought it would be fun to put together a dictionary of Emoji, as I am always interested what the various smiley faces mean 😁 as well as some of the more obscure Japanese symbols like 🔰. Over time I'll be working with Emojipedia to include a lot more data for each Emoji.
This is just on of an ongoing series of projects I'm using to promote my availability for consultancy, which I am publishing on Medium at https://medium.com/f-a-t-e
Companies find it very valuable to be able to get Apple-level involvement in their projects as I'm sure you can appreciate!
Anyway, I've only just joined Product Hunt so will post more in future. Cheers!
