I'm Nick the co-founder of Persona, the company behind Emissary.
This is a 'Conceirge MVP' of the final product vision: a blend of human and software/AI-powered career advice services.
Available on any device, anywhere in the world, for the rest of your life.
The idea behind Emissary is that your interactions with application forms, job sites, and recruitment agencies can be SO much better if you have your own Personal Recruitment Agent. You can ask them whatever you want, whenever you want.
Job searching shouldn't be a solo experience and you should have someone that understands your strengths and interests to constantly be keeping an eye out for new opportunities for you. Start a chat and say hello, you never know!

Hi Nick. This sounds amazing! Really like the concept. How are you looking to monitise it?

@mil5om Thanks for the question Ben, good to see another fellow Cardiff startup on here!
From our existing business Persona Jobs we've built up a relationship with recruiters in dozens of cities who in turn have posted over 1000 jobs on behalf of companies (it's 157 cities according to Intercom but I don't quite believe that!).
Now we're beginning to form direct relationships with companies in order to refer relevant candidates on a regular basis for a subscription fee (and companies will also have access to the software platform we've developed to manage these candidates). We also hold relationships with Training Providers, so we can also facilitate free training for new staff.
I see this model as an analogue to a fast-growing business called Simplify Digital who recommend you the best broadband provider for your circumstance and take a referral fee from Virgin, Sky, BT etc. But Simplify Digital also exists to educate consumers about their rights and what they're entitled to.
It's a fine line to be objective about companies that are ultimately paying the bills, but with integrity and objective data I believe it can work.
