Worked on a little July 4 side project, preserving & displaying election information using Ethereum. AP published their race calls last year to the blockchain but had no way to view it! I also published MIT’s US election archive to the Ropsten testnet. It’s mainly an exploration for me to learn Solidity, web3, etc., but I can see some practical uses for it; basically a timestamped, immutable, no-downtime API to this information, which can be valuable in case of censorship or an attempt to “alter the past” on authoritative sources.

Interesting, the collection of data is public?

Never thought of the Blockchain to easily save and verify history... definitely gonna do something myself like that
