Eko Investments
Hi hunters! Everything we do with our money creates an impact. The food we buy, the clothes we shop and how we invest our money. Investing is actually a very powerful tool for shaping the world (for good and for bad). When you invest, you can become part owner of a company, enabling this company to spend more money on whatever they do. This could be renewable energy, cigarettes or anything in between. Eko is here to make impact investing simple, transparent and fun altogether, following these 4 values: - Transparency - Changing the investing game - The sustainable community - Impact does not sacrifice returns (quite the contrary) Transparency: As we are truly sustainable, we quantify both financial returns and sustainable impact Transparency starts with truly understanding your portfolio. Eko believes that too many people have a portfolio without understanding what companies they own, or what these companies are doing. You could be investing and funding companies that go completely against your values (oil drilling, mining, weapons), without knowing this. A notable example is a recently launched 'Vegan ETF', that out of 100+ companies has exactly 1 company that creates a vegan friendly product. Eko does no concessions when it comes to transparency. We believe the impact your portfolio makes, should be easy to understand as the financial return. Therefore, we quantify the sustainable impact of every company in your portfolio, in either KG CO2 and/or kWh electricity. We also have company profiles for all our companies - where you can learn about the operations or your portfolio companies. At Eko we want you to see your portfolio. 2. Changing the investing game Everybody is different. So why all have the same portfolio? Although there are many places where you can invest your money, it's still being done in 2 ways: DIY approach, where you do your own research (or go YOLO), pick your stocks, monitor the market and make your own trades. Outsource everything, where you give your money to an advisor, fund or ETF. They will then give you a pre-made portfolio with no/little flexibility to make changes Because everybody is different, Eko will make a personalized high-performance portfolio for every user. Eko created a new way to invest between the above extremes and we call it Digital investor 2.0. First, Eko asks what is important to you as an individual and investor. A user can pick one or multiple areas out of the following impact topics: 1. Circular economy 2. Clean water  3. Energy-saving technology 4. Plant-based food 5. Renewable energy  6. Transportation of the future Based on these categories and your reason to invest, Eko will suggest a personalized portfolio, just for you! After the portfolio is created, users still have the freedom to make changes to their portfolio. 3. Community: Eko is more than just your digital investment advisor. As an Eko customer, you are introduced to the 'Ekosystem'. This is a place where you can learn more about the things your portfolio companies do and what they make. Mainly focusing on the great things your portfolio companies are doing. "Your portfolio company SolarEdge made a new technology for solar panels, increasing their energy efficiency by 20% and boosting its stock value by 8%"  The Ekosystem is also a place where you can get introduced to other sustainable products and services, that all help to make the world a little bit better. 4. Impact does not sacrifice returns: We probably don't even have to mention it anymore… but for the record: impact investing does not sacrifice returns. Over the last few years we have seen more and more initiatives from communities, companies and governments to boost more sustainable alternatives. The result has been that impact portfolios have outperformed almost all non-impact portfolios in the last 3 years. Questions about Eko? Ask the maker!
