Ekkoes is a private sound-memory library for iPhone and iPad. Record the atmosphere of a place, add a photo, location, tags, mood and notes, then revisit it in a library or on your personal audio map. Improve audio entirely on device, build iCloud Shared Groups, and export Sound Postcards as vertical videos. No ads, no tracking, and Apple’s privacy label says no data is collected.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Jean-Baptiste, a solo developer, and I made Ekkoes because photos preserve how a moment looked, but rarely how it felt to be there.
A beach, rain against a window, a city waking up, a familiar voice — sound can bring a memory back instantly. Ekkoes lets you record that atmosphere, attach a photo, place, mood, tags and notes, then rediscover it later in a private library or on a personal audio map.
I also wanted this kind of archive to remain genuinely personal. Audio improvement runs on the device, your library stays on your devices and in your iCloud account, and there are no ads or trackers. Shared Groups use iCloud and Sign in with Apple, while Sound Postcards let you turn a recording into a vertical video that anyone can enjoy.
The app is free for up to 10 recordings, with a lifetime unlock or monthly plan for unlimited memories and watermark-free postcards.
Small naming note: the US App Store lists the app as Ekkoes; after installation, the name displayed on your device is Ekkos.
I'd especially love feedback on the recording flow, the audio map, and whether Sound Postcards make these memories easy to share. Ask me anything! 🎧
