resized my passport photo and signature for passport seva in under a minute, no upload worries at all. the kb limit slider is genuinely handy, wish more indian tools worked this simply.

that's exactly the case I built it for.
The KB slider exists because the portals reject on file size and almost
nobody tells you the actual limit. Every number in the presets is traced
to the official notice, and where a portal doesn't publish one we say so
rather than guess.
the fact that everything runs locally in the browser and nothing gets uploaded is honestly such a thoughtful call for something handling passport photos. really respects user trust while still solving a pretty annoying problem.

It's an identity document. It shouldn't need to touch a server just to
be resized. It made the engineering harder (all the processing runs in
the browser) but it felt like the only honest way to do it.
